Hi there! Um...I have no viable reasons whatsoever for the unexpected gap in postings. Life has been wonderful, things are going well...maybe that's it. I have no babblings to post 'cause I'm satisfied. Cool enough...yes. Um...yeah. *hides in bed* Emily is tired and uninspired at the moment. Please leave a message at the sound of the beep.

Hello-hello! I'll tell the whole long story of the race tomorrow...should I tell you all the results? No, I think I'll keep you in suspense. 'Cause I'm evil like that. *grins* Yeah. For now, I must bid you all farewell. Good night, all!

Wow, how lazy am I? So lazy. Oh yes. Well, since I have a moment of self-imposed respite from the toils of life, I guess I'll update.
The problem is, I have little to say. Poo. *grins* Yeah...life has been relatively uneventful for quite a while. No major depressions, no major life issues that I wish to make public at this time, and...yeah. There was a fight in gym class yesterday(well, in the locker room)! It was very big and alarmingly bloody.
Right. Homework time now. Wish me luck! *skitters off*

Ha. Fencing was all right, even though I didn't get to do much beyond beat up Lynn. Today was all right, actually. Not wonderful, not terrible, just...all right. And I suppose that's all one can hope for. Also, we had risotto for dinner. And I got dumplings. Which was very cool. Okay. Yes. *skitters off to do stuff*

*bounces up and down in chair* Still don't feel like writing about race. However, I would like to know why I found a small chunk of what looked like black construction paper stuck in my mouth this morning. This discovery was rather disconcerting, as I'd like to know and consent to being fed that sort of thing.
Also, the Sound of Music singalong is today. *squeals with joy* So. Exciting. *grins widely* *skitters off to get dressed*

Hi! Forgive me for not writing all these days...I'm so bad. Although I do have some reasons that could be passable if one was rather feeble-minded and inclined to forgive me anyway.
1. On Tuesday, we did our 6K. Lordy-lordy, that was hard. However, I was very happy because I pulled a 2.30 the whole time, something I've never been able to do. Right. Ignore my crew jargon, it'll tie together in the end. 2. We rowed a ten minute piece yesterday. This was unbearably hard, but our boat kicked the collective butts of everyone else on the water, so it rocked. Also, Madison was our coxswain, and she's wonderful. 3. That night, I was mentally and physically drained, in the most severe sense of the word. I could not function...was so tired that at 10:30 I just collapsed in bed and slept until 1:30. At that time, I woke up, took my contacts out, and went back to bed. At about 6:20, my dad came up to wake me and I yelled at him "I didn't buy any more beer." Twice. I think it tied into a dream I was having, but it was still really weird. 4. This morning, I was dead. I was having trouble walking under my own power. Luckily, my dad drove me to school and we went to Starbucks...I got a frap in a bottle, and that just BRIGHTENED up my day! Oh yes. *grins* It was like that day at CTY, except today I really needed it, so it was jeeeeeeest right. *grins* Oh yes. It was all psychosomatic, I know, but by god it felt good. *grins*
Yeah. Good day. The unfortunate part was that the most important and fulfilling thing I did all day was draw a small ninja in a tree on my French homework. Oh well, whatever happens happens. *grins* And speaking of that, or, well...not speaking of that at ALL but pretending, I have quite a bit of homework to finish up. Thus, I must bid you farewell. Good night, all!

Okay. I'm four days in debt here...*cowers in fear of stoning*
Saturday: After my little bout of angst, I met Mike and Jamie at Starbucks. The following events kicked irrational amounts of ass. After wandering down to the library and analyzing a pipe, we began to walk back to my house. However, first, we stopped at the Rehab and played a game of Ninja tag with a small child named PJ. It was cool. We then ambled on home, and watched Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels. Lots of fun. While taking a pee and eat break, the idea to make caramel somehow came up. We headed on outside with matches, a spoon, and some sugar, and completely failed. I went inside to get a lighter, and when I emerged, I was met with the full force of a water-bazooka. I soon retaliated by grabbing the garden hose and spraying the crap out of them. This continued until we were all completely soaked, and then we went inside. After changing, we watched Snatch, I sat on Mike, and Jamie accidently head-butted me. At about 7:30, all were given rides home. I called Louisa, our conversation rocked my socks off, and eventually I went to bed. Saturday was incredible.
to be continued once I finish my French homework...

Doooon't wanna do my homewooooooork...bah. It's actually not much of a workload; a lot of worksheets and revision(both American and English-style), although the geometry is piling up. I wonder why I'm not asleep right now. Oh well. Anyway, yeah. The thing is, I don't want to do homework right now. Crew has been eating up my Saturdays for weeks now, and once I finally get a reprieve(rising waters(it's rained a lot lately) and a wedding in the boathouse), I have work to do. Sunday's out, as I have crew(yup. it comes back.) and we're going to see the Producers. Neither of these events are in any way bad. In fact, they're both good! I just want time to visit friends that I can see, call friends that I can't...I miss them lots and I haven't been able to talk to them in ages because of a. my pathological fear of calling people and b. all the work I've had to do. I don't want to lose contact with them. I don't want them to move on and to never see them again. It's a scary thought, it is, and I know I have to do something about it. So...yeah. It's still early...no one's up, and calling anyone before 11 is risky in my book. I suppose I'll just try to get the tedious stuff out of the way so I can get the rest done real easy tonight or tomorrow. Wish me luck! *shambles off*

First of all, I'd like to say:
THIRD PLACE, BABY! YEAH!
We were the first Allderdice novice girls boat to ever place in a fall race. How cool is that?
All right. So, after Jenna and I went back to her house and picked up our stuff, we walked over to school and waited in the annex parking lot for the vans. At about 4:00, they arrived(there was a dysfunctional one that had to be sent back), and we loaded in. I didn't get to be in a van with Jenna, but I did get one with Jamie, and so we partied down for the five hours that we drove. We got to a dock at about 8:30 or 9:00, sat there for a half an hour(highlights: Mikey dropped his shoe in the water, Mikey and Jenna doing their humping dance), and then piled back into the vans and left. No one knew why. We drove down to the hotel and then to Angela's house, where we ate lots and lots of yummy pasta and garlic bread and cookies, and played tackle football in the rain. We got back to the hotel at about 10:30, and proceeded to raise hell. About twelve of us all piled into a guys room and told stories and rode down the hall in rolly chairs and jumped each other and did bed push-ups(or, in my case, the worm). Dave and I did secret agent ninja rolls down the hall. We could have continued with this for hours, but at 11:30 the coaches came around and did room check. I fell asleep at about 11:45, while my roommates(Jenna, Marnie, and Jasmine(who left to sleep with Autumn and Ariel, etc.)) continued to party down.
At 5:30, the wake-up call came and we dragged ourselves down to the lobby. We drove down to the dock and rigged all of the boats. After getting all of that ready, we traipsed on down to our tent, which contained breakfast foodies(bagels, fruit, cookies, etc.) and tarps. And Ryan(the coach's 6-year old son and our team mascot). Two of our boys fours went out first, then a succession of other boats. I slept, ate, played with Ryan, read Preacher, and just generally rocked on. Our race was at 1:15 or so, but we didn't get into the water until about 2:00. Sarah psyched us up, we got in the water, and we were off! We rowed on the paddle(really lightly) up to the start line, and when the guy told us to go, we were off! For all 5000 meters, we rowed our asses off, Sam being lovely and encouraging. Pete's boat didn't pass us, or even come into view! Yeah! Since the boat was in the hotseat, we didn't have to take it out, which was cool. So, we got out, compared blisters(I have two big raw ones right on the top of the bottom joints of my middle and fourth fingers...the middle finger one is pussing, but I can't whine, 'cause Erin's hands were torn to bits), raved about what a good job we did, and cheered other people on. Jenna, Sarah and I waited by the trailer where they were posting the results, and eventually(at about 3:30) a guy came out with a couple of papers. He put one up, then the next, then the next, but when he got to our event, he seemed to be having a hard time putting it up. Finally, he got it up, and lo and behold, Taylor Allderdice was the third name down! We screamed and jumped around for a bit, and then went back to the tent to spread the good news. The rest of the day was pretty uneventful. We packed up, derigged the boats, and piled into the van. We drove back, stopping once at this really nice new rest stop for dinner. Our boat was given our medals, I waited for a bit with Jenna and Peter, Jenna and I got picked up by my mom, and we went home. Showered(with my medal on), and went to sleep at midnight or so.
All in all, a fabulous time.

Bleaaaaaaaaaaaah. Lots of homework, and I'm super-tired.
However, there are three day-brighteners that I'm leaning heavily upon. 1. The race is Saturday! We're leaving Friday afternoon from school, having a pasta party at one of the girls' house, and racing the next day! I'm so excited. 2. I have mysteriously lost six pounds. No idea why or how, but there ya go. Pretty cool. 3. There's this con somewhere or other, at some time or another, and we're going! I wanna cosplay, baby. *grins*
